How was Armas Järnefelt's first composition concert in Vaasa in the year 1892? At that time, Järnefelt combined his own chambercompositions together with Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata, E minor, Op. 90 and Frédéric Chopin's Nocturne, c-sharp minor and Prelude, D minor. This summer we will hear an encore of the original concert during the Festival on Monday 29.7 at 18.00 in Vaasa City Hall with our artists, pianist Håvard Gimse, violinist Cecilia Zilliacus and mezzo-soprano Erica Back. Järnefelt's long lost Variatioonia will be performed perhaps for the first time since 1892!
